Chunk Sketches
  I started off with some pencil sketches and character explorations of daddy in his hospital gown chasing a little lung.

 

 After I landed on a final sketch, I took a quick pic with my camera. I guess I was too lazy to scan it in or something, even though that doesn’t really make sense.

 

 Then I traced the outlines in magenta to easily see what I was doing

 

 Here’s a view of the finished tracing.

 

 Then I just used various tools in the Pathfinder pane to break the outlines up into different shapes where I could control the stroke and fill colors.

 

 Then it was on to adding shading and increasing the stroke weight around the figures.

 

 And the final product!
